Pricing as a craft

Why Accoru has one plan, why we made it $20, and what we learned saying no to tiers.

We wrestled with pricing for longer than we'd like to admit. Tiers are easy to design and tempting to ship: a Starter, a Pro, a Business. But every tier we sketched felt like a small betrayal of the customer who landed on the wrong one.

So we did the unfashionable thing: one plan, every feature, one price. It forces a kind of honesty on us as builders. If a feature isn't worth shipping for everyone, it probably isn't worth shipping at all.

The price itself — currently $13 a month, or $124.80 a year — is set to be fair to the small businesses we serve and sustainable for the small team that builds Accoru. Nothing more clever than that.

We've learned that customers can tell when pricing is a craft, not a trick. They stay longer, they recommend more freely, and the support inbox gets quieter. That's our quiet measure of success.
